Bhuj : The Pride of India is an upcoming 2021 patriotic genre movie that casts Ajay Devgan in the lead alongside other prominent casts. Ajay Devgan and other star casts took to their instagram to announce the release of the official trailer release on 11 July 2021. It is an Indian period drama film, set in the backdrop of the 1970s; when one of the biggest wars between India and Pakistan broke off. The movie also marks the directorial debut of Abhishek Dudhaiya.

The movie, Bhuj- The Pride of India was announced in March 2019. The makers also announced the lead actors that consisted of Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Ammy Virk. Also, filming of the movie mostly took place in Bhopal, Kolkata, Kutch, Indore, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Furthermore the film was in schedule for a theatrical release on 14 August 2020. But owing to the Coronavirus Lockdown, the production was moreover stopped in March 2020, when the film was 90% complete.
Bhuj Release date
The film came back on track in November 2020, when the situation of the Covid Pandemic was getting better. And the shooting as well as production was complete by the end of March 2021. The film is now all set to have an OTT release on Disney+Hotstar on 13 August 2021.

The lead stars constitutes of Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Ammy Virk. The movie also stars Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Pranitha Subhash and Ihana Dhillon in prominent roles. At first, Parineeti Chopra was roped in for the role, but due to clashing dates with her biopic movie Saina, she quit. And later on Nora Fatehi replaced her in the movie. Also, the role played by Sharad Kelkar was first played by Rana Daggubati. But due to some health issues, he too quit, resulting in Sharad playing the role.
Bhuj- The Pride of India Plot
The movie will revolve around the happenings of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. The IAF airstrip at Bhuj was destroyed during the war. Furthermore, it was 300 local women who were led by IAF squadron leader Vijay Karnik. They heroically worked day and night to reconstruct the airbase once again. This act of resilience was a pivotal moment, and it not only boosted the morale of the country and the fighters, but it also helped us win the war.
