The closeness between Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan increased on the sets of Tashan. In an interview, Kareena revealed that Saif had proposed her on the sets of Tashan, but didn’t get married before living together for about 6 years. There is an age gap of 12 years between the couple, but age is just a number, right? The beautiful couple have 2 sons, Taimur Ali Khan and the second one is yet to be named.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh
Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, they have starred in three mega blockbusters altogether in collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Allegedly the couple started dating on the sets of Ram-Leela, and have been together since then. Their on-screen chemistry was enough to set one’s heart on fire, and now the fire is all around since they got married. They tied the knot on 14 November 2018, and will complete their third year of marriage this year.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan
Abhishek and Aishwarya met for the first time in 1999 on the shoot of Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke (2000). It was their first film together, and Abhishek says that he expected a diva, instead she was humbly wonderful. They liked each other’s company and remained friends after the release. They worked in Rohan Sippy’s Kuch Naa Kaho(2003) together again, but it wasn’t until 2005 -2006, when they shot for Umrao Jaan; when they started developing feelings for each other. Abhishek proposed Aishwarya in 2007, and she instantly said yes, and tying the knot in April 20, 2007.

Kajol is the loud and eccentric type, whilst Ajay looks like the serious and not-so-talkative type. A perfect example of opposites attract, right? They starred in films like Ishq, Pyaar toh Hona he tha and more, which gave flame to their romance. In an interview Ajay said that there was no proposal as such, and marriage was imminent. They duo got married in the year 1999, when both of them were at the peak of their careers; but that didn’t stop them.
Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover
Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover fell in love on the sets of Alone(2015), and they soon tied the knot in 2016! It was as if they knew that they had to be together, right? Although Karan has been married twice before, and its Bipasha’s first marriage; the duo didn’t let anything from the past hamper their future together.
Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh
Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh are so much in love that they set couple goals wherever they go. They met on the sets of a long ago, around 2002, when Genelia had come for the test shoot of a movie. As Riteish was the son of Late Chief Minister Shri Vilas Rao Deshmukh, Genelia thought that he must be a spoilt brat. But when they started getting along, she found him to be a nice person. Knowing each other for about 7 years, they starred together in Tere Naal Love Ho Gya(2012), and fell in love in real life as well. And soon they went ahead to tie the knot.

They starred together in films like Sholay and more. They first met on the sets of Tum Haseen Main Jawan (1970), where they fell in love and their lives changed. Although they did face a few hurdles as Dharmendra was already married and had two sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol. And since his first wife wasn’t willing to divorce him, he converted to Islam in order to marry Hema.
Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor
Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor were not the lovey-dovey couple from the beginning. Although they starred in a number of movies, but they were good friends initially. It wasn’t until Rishi Kapoor was shooting for his film “Barood”, when he realised his feelngs for Neetu. He sent a Telegram to her regarding his feelings, after which they eventually started dating and later tied the knot.
Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher
Kirron Kher ended up getting a divorce from her first marriage as things were not working out for the. Anupam and Kirron had always been friends, but it wasn’t until they were shooting for a film; and realised that they were coming closer. They went on to tie the knot after quite sometime, and have been living happily ever since. Although Kirron was recently diagnosed with Cancer, ut Anupam is standing strong by her side in tough times like these.
Dilip Kumar and Saira Bano
The Tragic movie, Mughal-E-Azam (1960) brought King Dilip Kumar and his now life partner Saira Bano closer. Saira is about 22 years junior of Dilip Kumar but this did not impact the two stars; as they had already decided to be each others eternal companions. Saira and Dilip tied the knot in 1966, despite warnings that the marriage would not last long due to the age gap. Although Saira and Dilip Saab have no children, the couple love each other immensely. And Saira has been taking great care of him, especially in sickness and in health.
Raj Babbar and Smita Patil
Babbar was already married to wife Nadira Babbar when he met Smita Patil for the first time. They officially met on the sets of Bheegi Palkein (1982). Babbar was instantaneous and irrevocable toward Smita, the attraction and attachment was very spontaneous. The couple faced mass criticism when people started staging protests outside Smita’s home. Their performances in films such as Waaris (1988) was undeniable. Despite so many controversies, they got married and Smita became pregnant. However, upon her delivery of son Prateik Babbar, Smita passed away on December 13, 1986 as she developed complications.
With the death of Smita, Babbar then returned to his first wife and Smita’s child Prateik grew up in his maternal grandparents house.
