After playing a role in the super hit film “Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi” in 1996, the next hit film in the line was after three years, “Jaanwar” launched in 1999. He even got rejected from “All India Radio” because of his voice and surprisingly, he sings songs in his films now. With a portfolio of over more than 150 films, Bachchan emerged as the true superstar of this industry. He has surely set a benchmark for any other actors to measure their success. The film “Zanjeer” turned his life upside down because of its high box office collection. The film earned around Rs 17.46 crores in 1973, which after adjusting for inflation, amounts to more than Rs 564 crore today.
