Hrithik Roshan Announces Krrish 4 on Completion of 15 Years of Krrish
Hrithik Roshan took to instagram to announce the next in series of his Krrish Movie series. Today Krrish completes 15 years, and on this occasion Hrithik announced the arrival of his upcoming next. The first of the series Krrish released in 2006, which was the sequel of Koi Mil Gaya. The former starred Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Rekha in the lead; whilst the latter stars Hrithik Roshan in dual role, Priyanka Chopra and Rekha. What does Krrish 4 have in store for us?
Krrish Series, from Koi Mil Gaya to Krrish 4
Koi Mil Gaya released on the silver screens in 2003, starring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Rekha in the lead. After the success of Kaho Naa Pyaar hai, actor-turned-director Rakesh Roshan wanted to work yet again with his son. But unlike Kaho Naa Pyaar hai, he wanted this one to be child-centric, and different from typical romantic movies. Although the filming started by the end of 2001, the shooting got over by 2002. Did you know? Rakesh Roshan also has a cameo in the movie, as Sanjay Mehra, father of Rohit aka Hrithik and Rekha’s husband.
The movie revolves around Rohit Mehra, who has development disability since birth. His father had discovered a way to contact extraterrestrial beings with his computer signals with variations of om. But the scientists mock and ridicule his theory, frustrated Sanjay Mehra, along with his pregnant wife was driving to his home, but suddenly sees a spacecraft. Due to the sudden shock he accidentally drives of the road, and dies in the accident; whereas his pregnant wife is injured. When he’s born with development disability, the only way to cure it is surgery. But the surgery could lead to his death, so she decided to stay away in Kasouli with her son.
Beginning of the series
In the movie, Koi Mil Gaya, Rohit contacts aliens through his fathers computer. An alien gets left behind and Rohit starts hiding him from others, takes care of it and names him Jadoo. With certain hurdles in the movie, the film goes on, until Jadoo gives certain powers to Rohit. Which not only cures his disability, but makes him different from others as well. When after years, he gets married to Nisha(Preity Zinta), their son Krishna Mehra is born with the powers of his father.
The movie Krrish begins with showing Rohit and Nisha dead, and their son Krishna now stays with his grandmother, Rekha. The movie revolves around Krishna, who is born and brought up in a place faraway from the city hazards. Priyanka Chopra along with her friends is on a trip to Kasauli, where she meets Krishna. in the later part of the movie, Krishna becomes Krrish in order to sav lives and not reveal his real identity. And by the end of the movie he becomes a superhero, and it turns out that his father wasn’t dead. He was locked up by the antagonists under observation.
Krrish 3
After the success of Krrish, the makers went ahead with another sequel, Krrish 3. Starring the same cast with Hrithik in dual role, Priyanka Chopra, except for Rekha; and including Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist along with Kangana Ranaut in a prominent role. Krrish 3 released in 2013, initially it was to be made into a 3D film, but due to lack of time they settled for a 2D release.
The movie revolves around Rohit Mehra, who’s now working for the Government as a scientist, Krishna Mehra aka Krrish, who keeps on losing out on jobs due to lack of attendance as he’s busy saving the world; and Priyanka Chopra who’s a journalist in Aaj Tak and is wife of Krishna. Antagonist Vivek Oberoi makes a virus that’s harmful for humans, and he kidnaps Priyanka when he finds out that she’s pregnant; and the child has Krrish’s genes. And as expected, Krrish saves his family as well as everyone else by the end of the movie.
Krrish 4
Krrish 4 will be the 4th installment of the Krrish movie series. Hrithik posted “The Past Is Done. Let’s See What The Future Brings!”. Most probably the movie will start shooting soon, and will release by the end of 2022.
