Kareena had announced her pregnancy in August via her Instagram handle. She had said, “We are pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family. Thank you to all our well-wishers for all their love and support.”
After giving birth to their second child, Saif had released a statement, “We have been blessed with a baby boy. Mom and baby are safe and healthy. Thank you to our well wishers for their love and support,”
As per sources, Kareena delivered her second baby at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. This is Kareena’s second child after elder son Taimur Ali Khan who was born on December 20, 2016.
Recently, Kareena shared a picture with the new born baby on her Instagram handle. Taimur is also in the picture. The image shows the father-son duo, Saif and Taimur looking at the new member in their house. The picture has an emoji on the face of the new born baby.

Many people took to social media saying that the name Taimur is similar to the name of a barbaric invader. Users on twitter slammed and trolled Saif-Kareena for their choice. They went beyond their extent and many entitled them as ‘Jihadists.’
Addressing Taimur’s controversy, Kareena opened up and said, “There was a lot of trolling, but there was also an immense amount of support. Not that the trolls mattered, because the night before I was going to the hospital, Saif asked me, ‘If it’s a boy, are you sure you want to do this? Let’s change the name and call him Faiz. It’s more poetic and romantic.’ And I was like no if it’s a boy, I want my son to be a fighter. Taimur means “iron” and I will produce an Iron man. I am proud to name him Taimur.”

On her show, ‘What Women Want, with actor Neha Dhupia, Kareena discussed naming her second baby. She said, “After the whole controversy of Taimur, both Saif and me have not even thought about it. We’re like going to leave it last minute and then spring a surprise.”
Well, the actress has her own words to this. But the social media users seem to continue with their guesses. Twitter users guess that the child’s name can be either ‘Haider’, ‘Sikandar sounds Nawabi’. They share an old video of Saif explaining the meaning of Taimur on Koffee with Karan.
