Priyanka Chopra has always been a sensation in Bollywood. From playing a negative role in “Aitraaz”(2004), to a strong woman Kashibai in “Bajirao Mastani”, Priyanka is an amazing actor. She is ageing like a fine wine, her talent, looks and everything good about her is growing alongside. She recently published a memoir on her life till date, “Unfinished”. Priyanka completes 21 Years of Miss World
From time to time Priyanka as well as her mother share throwback pictures from the pageant which entitled Priyanka as the Miss World in 2000. She became Miss World at the tender age of 18, and she has been ruling hearts ever since.The pageant took place in London, UK. She was crowned as Miss World alongside Miss Italy and Miss Turkey as runner-ups. Chopra was up against 95 beauty queens. But nonetheless she made India proud, a winner on a global platform. Also, did you know? The same year Lara Dutta went on to become Miss Universe, and Dia Mirza bagged the title of Miss Asia Pacific.
Bollywood Journey Begins…A take on Hollywood
Priyanka made her Bollywood debut in 2003, in a spy-thriller movie alongside Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. She played the lead in blockbuster movies like Andaaz(2004) and Mujse Shaadi Karogi(2004). In the same year she gave a groundbreaking entertainment with her movie “Aitraaz”, where she played the antagonist. She was highly praised by the critics as well as the public for her amazing performance. Since then she has been starring in a number of movies. Although she did face a few fallout incidents, where the situation was not in her favour. She made a good comeback with her movie “Fashion”(2008), where she portrayed a troubled model. This movie led her to win the National Film Award for The Best Actress too.
Her recognition increased whilst she portrayed a range of characters in Kaminey (2009), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), Barfi! (2012), Mary Kom (2014), Dil Dhadakne Do (2015) and Bajirao Mastani (2015). In 2014, it was revealed that Priyanka had signed a one-year contract with ABC. And that very soon we will get to see Chopra in an American TV series, “Quantico”. The series went on for three years, 2015-2018. Although the fourth season was called off due to financial and other unstated reasons. But it doesn’t end here. Priyanka also starred in a number of Hollywood movies like Baywatch (2017) and her most recent on “The White Tiger”(2021). Here she starred alongside Rajkumar Rao and Adarsh Gaurav (his debut movie, the main lead).
Soulmate From Pardes?
Who knew a Pardesi would steal our star’s heart? And none other than Nick Jonas of all! The Boy Band is quite popular amongst the youth, as the Jonas Brothers. The boy band separated in 2013, but later reconciled with their new hit “Sucker”, starring themselves as well as their lady love in the video. Priyanka Chopra also stars alongside Nick Jonas in the video. The three brothers are now happy with their significant others. And Priyanka fits well in their family as well.
Nick was the one who had slid into PC’s dm in Twitter, but they didn’t start dating until a year and a half. Whilst replying to Nick Jonas, where the text read “I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet,”, and Priyanka Chopra responded with, “My team can read this. Why don’t you just text me.” And the rest is history. Their first public appearance took place in Met Gala, 2017, although they claimed to be “just friends” that time. . It wasn’t until 2018, that dating rumours were making rounds. On 19 July, 2018, when Nick went down on his knees and proposed our desi girl with a $200,000 Tiffany ring. It took less than a minute for Priyanka to say yes, and then here we are.
Happily Ever After? The journey is yet to be finished though.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have completed two years of marriage. And they still don’t fail to give us couple goals! Their wedding was extravagant, and a 3 day celebration. Including both the cultures equally, and getting married in each others customs was a to beautiful site to miss. With over 3 wedding receptions and two weddings itself, this marriage was in an absolute spotlight through and through.
With all said and done, Priyanka’s life took an absolute turn with her decision to sign Quantico. And now, in these 7 years this woman has grown like no other. Whether it be related to WHO, UNICEF or her career itself.
