Shocked! Cost of dresses of Alia and Kapoors at Ranbir and Alia’s wedding

The most beautiful couple in the town, gathering all the attention they deserve with their amazing wedding looks and ceremonies. Yes, we are talking about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding. The fairytale wedding we all ever dreamt of consisted of minimal decorations and simple looks. The couple tied nuptial knots on the 14th of April, 2022 after dating for around 5 years. According to the sources, only 28 guests attended the wedding, which included family members and also close friends. Some of the well-known celebrities included Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Neetu Kapoor, etc. The wedding took place at Vastu, Ranbir’s house. Wedding festivities included the Haldi ceremony, Mehendi ceremony and after wedding dance party. Alia Bhatt

The actress ditched the mainstream red bridal lehenga and instead, wore a hand-dyed ivory organza saree. Just like the other Bollywood actresses, she also wore Sabyasachi, a saree, adorned with fine tilla work and teamed with a matching blouse featuring a V-neckline and quarter sleeves. Also, the blouse consisted of tilla work and perfectly complemented the saree. The whole attire looked completed with an embroidered handwoven tissue veil. The cost of this saree is estimated to be around Rs 50 Lakhs. 

Ami Patel styled the actress on her big day. Alia accessorized her wedding attire with a heavy choker necklace, twinning jhumkas and a matha patti. All of this also came from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery, featuring uncut diamonds and hand-strung pearls. The bride wore a gold and red chooda set, adding a Punjabi touch to her attire. Moreover, Alia sealed the ensemble by leaving her tresses open in soft waves with a middle parting. The best thing was that she opted for subtle glam makeup and a small red bindi. 

Kareena Kapoor Khan 

Although all the eyes focused on Ranbir and Alia, Kareena too steals the show with her elegant looks. She chose the designer Manish Malhotra for her first cousin’s D-day. For the Mehendi function, Kareena styled a silver lehenga sequinned throughout and included shades of light pink and blue and also pale yellow. She included a strappy blouse with a lehenga. She styled it with a three-layered diamond necklace and a braided hairstyle. Kareena also held a super stylish clutch in her hand and kept her hair open. To add to the look, she made two thin braids on the sides. Also, Bebo went for a light and subtle makeup look that went perfectly with the daytime wedding festivities. Do you know how much this lehenga costs? A whooping 6 Lakhs. But Bebo made it worth it by looking no less than a princess. 

Kareena’s wedding look consisted of a blush pink organza saree. It came with broad borders done pretty with gold embellishments. This was also styled with a sleeveless blouse. The accessories included a studded necklace, earrings, maang tikka, potli bag and double bangles all prettied up with pearls and studs. 

Karisma Kapoor

The elder cousin of Ranbir Kapoor made no less than a patakha appearance at the wedding. She wore colourful dresses at the wedding, keeping herself differentiated from everyone. Lolo wore a mustard yellow Anarkali set in the Mehendi function, which consisted of a chanderi silk kurta. She paired it up with a resham embroidered churidar and an organza silk dupatta which had gota jaal embroidery. Her accessories included no neck jewellery, maang tikka, hand bangles, jhumkas, sequence potli and juttis. Also, she made a hair bun to keep the style simple. Her beautiful makeup added stars to her looks. The outfit was designed by Punit Balana. The outfit costs around Rs 65,000. 

For the wedding day, she ditched the usual lehenga style and chose an organza saree. She also picked up an ivory organza saree designed by Manish Malhotra. It was picked from the designer’s khaab collection The saree was embroidered with colourful threads designed with floral motifs and broad borders. She carried it with a three quarter brocade blouse with leheriya print in shades of red, orange and yellow colour. Just like her earlier look in Mehendi, she ditched the mainstream necklace, and instead wore a maatha patti, chaandbalis and bangles of gold and orange colour. The look was kept as simple and as beautiful as possible. The actress looked as bright as a diamond in her dreamy outfit. 

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni

For the Mehendi ceremony, Raabir’s dear sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also carried on the legacy by choosing Manish Malhotra as her designer. She grabbed eyeballs as she arrived for the wedding in an exquisite sequined saree. The saree was an ivory chiffon one that featured polka dot sequin embroidery. It was styled with an ivory georgette sleeveless blouse with the same polka dot sequin embroidery. Also, It came with an ivory crepe-in skirt. She carried a heavy stone studded necklace with matching bangles and earrings. Riddhima carried a pink clutch in her hand. She kept her look simple with a pink palette of makeup. The price of the saree costs around Rs 1.5 Lakh. 

The beautiful sister of the groom looked like an angel in a beige gold lehenga on the big day. This lehenga came from the label Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. The lehenga was filled with golden and silver embellishments. Further, it carried hand embroidery with gold mirror zardozi work. However, words won’t be able to do justice to the beauty of the outfit she carried. She paired it with an ornate concept blouse with cascading crystal droppings and tassels. Riddhima even wore a cape stole to add to the beauty of the outfit. She styled layered necklaces with no headwear and minimal bangles. She also carried a golden clutch.

Riddhima decided to pick a white silk suit, instead of yellow for the Haldi ceremony. However, the diva’s embroidered suit makes for the perfect pick for the groom’s sisters who wish to stay simple for such intimate functions. Riddhima kept her makeup minimal for this look also and made sure to keep her hairstyles simple as well. She styled it without any jewellery. Riddhima nailed all her looks with grace and beauty. 

Neetu Kapoor 

“Dulhe ki Maa” looked gorgeous at her only son’s wedding. The veteran actress styled an off-white and multicoloured embroidered Ghaghra for the Mehendi ritual. She carried an ‘ol yesteryear’s charm in a fuss-free lehenga. The renowned fashion designer Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla shared the details about the actor’s outfit on his Instagram handle. This classic ivory floral lehenga set had floral motifs all-over, in vibrant hues of lime, baby blue and tangerine.

Neetu paired the lehenga with a matching blouse with a deep U-neckline and three fourth sleeves. She draped the dupatta in a unique manner with the neatly pleated section of the fluid cloth on one shoulder and tucking the other end of it behind. She also accessorised it with a choker, matching bangles and earrings and a pink potli bag with gotta patti borders. Unlike the other actresses, Neetu wore a fusion of colours for the big day. She opted for a lehenga featuring a pink bandhani skirt and a multicoloured choli. A mustard-coloured dupatta with a multi-hued border completed the whole look. Also, She styled the lehenga with a grand and royal necklace and a pair of matching earrings. Just like her other looks, she didn’t go with any hair jewellery. For the makeup, she chose to keep it minimal and completed her look with a tiny bindi. She also carried a golden potli, adding a royal touch to the look. The lehenga is presumably designed by the designer Abu Jaani and Sandeep Khosla.

Neetu again chose a masterpiece by Abu Jaani and Sandeep Khosla for the Haldi festivity. It came from the Gulabo collection of the label. This eye-catching yellow kurta with a dramatic neckline had barfi designs in gota embroidery. She styled her kurta with yellow pants having vertical gota lines and a dupatta matching the kurta and pants. Neetu wore pearl jewellery with a hair bun. She even carried a beige handbag with her. The kurta costs around Rs 8,450 with pants at Rs 5,950. The dupatta comes along at Rs 6,950. Overall, the set could be bought at a total price of Rs 21, 350. 

Various other celebrities, like Karan Johar, the Bachchans, the Ambanis, etc. attended the D-day, wearing designer pieces beautifully. Moreover, Karan Johar also chose Manish Malhotra for Ranbir and Alia’s wedding. Ranbir styled himself also with an ivory sherwani twinning with her ‘wifey’ with a stole. Everyone made sure to look their best at the Ranbir-Alia wedding.
