With an increasing presence on the web, Youtube is gaining enough attention and a lot of users. Successful YouTubers struggled enough to arrive at this position and they are paving their own way into Bollywood. Bollywood has a lot of potentials for these successful YouTubers to showcase their talent and skills. Listed below is the list of top successful YouTubers entering into the Indian cinema:

Prajakta Koli

Probably one of the most popular and successful YouTubers in today’s generation, Mostlysane aka Prajakta Koli has created a sensation amongst the youth. By her real-life comedy and blogging videos, she entertains the viewers regularly. With a base of 6.6 million followers and 976 videos on Youtube, she influences her fans. She began her career back in 2015 and received two creator awards by 2019.

Born and brought up in Thane, she completed her education at Vasant Vihar High School and graduated from V. G. Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce. Gaining enough fame on social media and Youtube, she is about to enter Bollywood with her debut in “Jug Jugg Jeeyo” in 2022. The movie also features Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Kiara Advani. She has already acted in a few films and series on Netflix, such as in “Mismatched” with Rohit Saraf. The second season of Mismatched is about to arrive. She even hosted a comedy show, “Comedy Premium League” that features 16 comedians divided into 4 teams who compete against each other. She has interviewed many celebrities, including Neha Kakkar, Kareena Kapoor, Mithila Palkar, and others. 

Bhuvan Bam

A perfect example of an ‘All in one’ person, who is a comedian, singer, writer, songwriter and obviously, a Youtuber. Bhuvan Bam is absolutely a heartthrob who has, in the last few years, earned fame and every bit of respect from his fans. The comedian was born in Vadodara and brought up in Delhi. Bhuvan attended Green Fields School and Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. He lost both of his parents recently due to COVID-19. He started with making ‘vines’, not the climbing plants one, but a video hosting service on Youtube. In his vines, he himself acted a few different roles in his comedy videos. His creativity and determination is something to get inspired from. Besides making vines, he started writing and singing songs on Youtube.

His channel “BB Ki Vines” has reached 25.3 million subscribers with 183 videos. He interviewed many famous personalities, such as Money Heist and RRR actors. Bhuvan recently launched his own series “Dhindhora” on the channel. Bhuvan is all geared up to make his entry into Bollywood with the renowned producer Guneet Monga. Though there is not much known about the film, he will soon hit the Bollywood screens too. 

Mallika Dua

A crazy comedian who could totally blow you up with her sense of humour and presentation of jokes. Mallika is also an actress and writer who got fame after her video, “Shit People Say: Sarojini Nagar Edition” got popular, which she herself wrote, enacted and styled. She was born in Karnataka and was brought up in New Delhi. The comedian completed her schooling at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi and a theatre major in the US from Franklin and Marshall College.

She started her Youtube career in 2017 and collaborated with a show “All India Bakchod” which later got into some trouble after the #MeToo allegations. She is the daughter of veteran journalist Vinod Dua, who died due to post complications after COVID-19. Her mother also died due to this virus. Mallika appeared in various series, such as The Trip and Why Should Hot Girls Have All the Fun. The actress made her debut in Bollywood with a short role in “Hindi Medium”. She appeared again in a few movies, such as Indoo Ki Jawani, Student Of The Year 2, Zero, etc. She was also seen in a comedy series called “Comedy Premium League”. 

CarryMinati

Ajey Nagar, who is known as CarryMinati by his fans is a YouTuber, streamer, gamer and rapper with 35.1 million subscribers and 178 videos. Popular for reactions to various online trending topics and comedy videos, this Youtuber has grabbed the attention of many youngsters. His content is mainly youth-driven and focuses on getting more and more reach from the target audience. One of his videos “Youtube vs Tiktok: The End” spread like fire on social media due to the language and hilarious comments used in the video. It went so viral that there were few allegations against the video and Ajey had to remove that video from his account.

He began his Youtube journey in 2014. His other channel “CarryisLive” is no less popular than the main account, it has a subscriber base of 10.8 million with 836 videos. Born and brought up in Faridabad, he attended Delhi Public School. CarryMinati is all set to be launched in Bollywood in Ajay Devgn’s film “Mayday” whose name has now been changed to “Runway 34”. In the film, he is known to play the role of a social media sensation figure. The movie also features Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh and Angira Dhar. Carry got excited when he got a call from Kumar Mangat Pathak and was informed that he is supposed to be his own character only in the film. He also sang a soundtrack in the film “Big Bull”. 

Tanmay Bhat

Call him the ‘King Of Roasting’, because his channel is full of fun, comedy and of course roasting. Tanmay is a Youtuber, comedian, producer, and co-founder of a company called All India Bakchod. He started his career in Youtube in 2019 and owns two Youtube channels namely, “Tanmay Bhat” and “Honestly by Tanmay Bhat”. The former one has 3.94 million subscribers with 455 videos and the latter one has 824K subscribers with 109 videos.

Talking about the shows he acted in, he was a judge in “Comicstaan” and was a part of various comedians who competed against each other in “Comedy Premium League”. He is a part of various other shows and series as well. His show All India Bakchod led him into various troubles. He even got booked for posting something unacceptable about the Prime Minister. If not a comedian, Tanmay would have been a marine engineer. Brilliant at studies, he studied at Seth Chunilal Damodardas Barfiwala High school in Mumbai. Bhat featured in a few Bollywood movies, such as Mr X, Ragini MMS 2 and 14 Phere. 

Abish Mathew

As one of the most popular and successful YouTubers and comedians with 1.08 million subscribers and 350 videos, the creator regularly engages his viewers with something new and unique. Abish is popular for his work in “All India Bakchod” and various other shows, for example, a late-night show “Son of Abish”, Comicstaan, etc. Counted as one of the first Indian Youtuber who began his channel in 2007, he gained fame with more than 94 million views on his channel at present. The comedian performed online shows with a few Indian celebrities, for instance, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sania Mirza, Sonakshi Sinha and others.

He did more than 1000 shows worldwide. The comedian was born in Kerala and completed his education at Fr. Agnel School, New Delhi and gradation at Ram Lal Anand College, Delhi University. He got popular a few years back when his old tweet about Mayawati resurfaced. People were tweeting asking about arresting him. He did his debut in Bollywood with Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra starrer “Meri Pyaari Bindu” in 2017 wherein he received a supporting role in the film. 

Dolly Singh 

Dolly Singh is a popular social media content creator and has earned millions of fans from India. She has an exemplary sense of style and acting skills. Also, her story in itself is an example for all the aspirants in the field of media and entertainment. The actress has appeared in films such as Bhaag Beanie Bhaag (2020), Dream Boy (2021), and Ritviz: Pran (2021). Her YouTube channel, “Spillthesass” has reached 605k subscribers and 208 videos. She recently crossed 1.2 million followers on Instagram.

Her role as, “Raju ki mummy”, in a social media series initiated by an extremely popular Delhi-based Infotainment Media venture. She even interacted with popular Bollywood actors and actresses while playing this role.  In various segments of iDiva’s shows, she interviews celebrities in her reel character and entertains the audience. The shows hosted by Dolly features some of the best-known celebrities, for instance, Ayushmann Khurana, Kangana Ranaut, Pankaj Tripathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and others. Born in Nainital, she moved to Delhi to pursue further education at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi and National Institute of Fashion Technology.
