Vicky Donor turns 9: Ayushmann Khurrana feels “Nostalgic”

Wearing a T-shirt, the actor feels blessed to have played this character and highly creating his place among all!

Vicky Donor turns 9 today. Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam made their debut with this film. Shoojit Sircar directed the film. It was released on 20 April 2012. The real success of the film was a running collaboration between Juhi Chaturvedi, writer and the director of the film, Shoojit Sircar.

Vicky Donor, a romantic comedy encompasses a young Punjabi sperm donor Vicky (Ayushmann in the lead role). Dr Baldev Chadda, a fertility expert enchased all his abilities. Vicky falls in love with a Bengali bank worker Ashima (Yami Gautam in the lead role). They eventually get married after getting their families approval. The couple discovers that Ashima is infertile and then later in the story, bears the consequences of his actions.

Vicky Donor yet today is one of the most groundbreaking narratives thematically to have come out of any cinema in the world.

Ayushmann has broken all bounds and has emerged as people’s hero of the 21st century. He has come a long way in Bollywood. With the performances and choices of films, he really has created a special place in everyone’s hearts. Similarly in the movie too, he plays the plot revolving around male biology mixed with unintended humour and emotions.

Ayushmann also took to his social media to share his nostalgic feeling on the film turning nine today! He wears a ‘Vicky Donor’ T-shirt in a room, sharing glimpses of the song “Paani- Da Rang” playing on the Tv screen.
