‘Neerja’ is a Hindi biopic thriller film featuring Sonam Kapoor who plays the lead role of Neerja Bhanot. This movie features her life where she valiantly saves 359 out of 397 passengers during the hijack attempt of PanAm flight 73 in Karachi, Pakistan. Ram Madvani, the director of the film who narrates it from Neerja’s point of view and also highlights the trauma faced by a family during the whole incident. Shabana Azmi plays her mother in the film.

Directed by Siddhart P. Malhotra, ‘Hichki’ is an adaptation of Brad Cohen’s 2005 auto biography ‘Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had’. Hichki also features Rani Mukherjee in the lead role as an aspiring teacher having tourette syndrome who proves herself by educating a group of under privileged children. ’83’ is also an upcoming sports biopic directed by Kabir Khan. The film features Ranveer Singh as cricketer Kapil who was the captain of the Indian cricket team at the 1983 Cricket world cup. 20) Thalaivi (2020)

‘Thalaivi’ is also an upcoming biography based on the life of J. Jayalalithaa. Kangana Ranaut plays the lead role in the movie. A.L Vijay is the director of the film. The release of the film is postponed due to the Covid -19 Pandemic.
